English Summer Session

Every summer, Kyungpook National University(KNU) offers a special selection of courses taught in English.

Courses
All courses are 4 weeks long.
Each course is worth 3 credits (one credit equivalent to 15 class hours)

Focus areas:
Previous English summer sessions have included courses in the following areas, however these topics will vary each year.

  Information Technology : Compilers, Universal Serial Bus Design, Computer Game Programming, 
  Electrical Safety Standards

  Economics & Business  : Human Resource Management, Cost Accounting, Strategic Management, 
  Financial Management,  Marketing, International Business

  Law : US Mass Communication Law, Public International Law

  Social Sciences : Cultural Context of Communication, European Union

  Global Affairs, Gobal Business, Global Communication

N.B. The final list of courses being offered in summer 2010 will be available from April 2010.

Lecturers

Courses are taught by visiting professors from around the world

Eligibility

An applicant must
(1)be currently enrolled as a college/university student
(2)have a good command of English

Registration and Class Periods for 2010

May 28(Fri) Application deadline
June 22(Mon) Classes begin
July 16(Fri) Classes end

Tuition

1 course: US $70 ~ $80
Due to scheduling, students can only take a maximum of two courses.
*fees subject to change

Room and Board

Accommodation is available in on-campus dormitories
Dormitory fees: US $350 including meals

Credit Transfer

Students who wish to transfer KNU credit are advised to consult with their home institution in advance.
